      maize is a c4 plant n in c4 plant, 30ATP n 12NADPH r required for formation of 1 glucose molecule. therefore for 6 glucose molecule 6*30=180ATP n 6*12=72NADPH is required

      18 ATP and 12 NADPH required in C3 cycle for the synthesis of 1 hexose. For a C4 plant 12 additional ATPs are required to pump 6 CO2 to bundle sheath cells for C3 cycle..
