question 9,corpus luteum forms corpus albicans if fertilization do not occur. But if fertilization occurs it remains throughout pregnancy and secrets progesteron.

    • Neeraj Shukla

I am not agree with you
corpus luteum functions as endocrine gland and releases Progesterone unless placenta is formed after that placenta takes charge of it

    • Sonia

After placenta is formed after 4th month corpus luteum degenerates it doesn’t remain through out pregnancy.

    • sanket

yes right…but if fertilization occur then it secrets progesteron only upto placenta formation later placenta itself secret HCG hormone

    • Daniel abishek

it only remains for 3-4 months and soon placenta takes the role of the corpus luteum
hence corpus luteum is not persistent through out the pregnancy

      • Pratik

The option says that the remains of corpus luteum not that it just remain there…both are quite different thing
