      Malonate is the correct answer. The substrate of succinate dehydrogenase is succinate, a dicarboxylic acid. Malonate is also a dicarboxylic acid resembling succinate in structure. Hence it is a competitive inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase.

    Sir i have a great confusion with FAD & FMN,are they coenzymes or prosthetic groups?Plz reply sir.

      They are coenzymes. But generally, they are tightly bound to apoenzymes and can be be considered as prosthetic groups.
