    it is very useful if you did it after study very fine & sharp.

    i feel that in question no. 4 it should be elaborated that
    gametophyte is free from sporophyte, or
    male and female gametophyte whether independent
    in my opinion it creates two answers in my mind !!!

      i knw wats runnin in your mind.. let me try if i can clarify it…

      unlike bryophyte (dominant phase : Gametophyte but also shows haplo-diplontic phase) and pteridophytes (Sporophytic and also sumtimes haplo diplontic) gymonosperm cannot exist in haplo diplontic stage. they exist in Sporophytic phase (diplontic) and the gametophytic phase in the gymnosperm is DEPENDENT on the sporophytic phase and cannot sustain independently.

      so bryophytes and pteridophytes can have their both phases independetly but gymnosperms cannot!!!
